These terms apply to your use of GetWeather and to any pass you buy on it. By creating an account or buying a pass you agree to them. "We", "us" and "GetWeather" mean Consortium Ventures (Pty) Ltd.

1. The service

GetWeather is an online weather planner for endurance races and events. For each listed event it gives you an hour-by-hour forecast along the event route, timed to your own pace and checkpoint stops. It is a digital service, used in your web browser. Nothing is shipped to you.

2. Accounts

3. Prices, payment and delivery

4. Refunds and cancellation

Refunds, event cancellations and how to ask for your money back are covered in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.

5. Independence from event organisers

Unless an event page says otherwise, GetWeather is an independent service. We are not affiliated with, connected to, or endorsed by the event's organisers. We use the event name only to say which route the forecast covers. Route and checkpoint details come from publicly available event information and may change. The organisers' official communications always take precedence.

6. Weather disclaimer and your safety

Forecasts are estimates from numerical weather models (data from MET Norway) and can be wrong, especially in mountain terrain, where conditions vary sharply over short distances and change quickly. The service is for general planning information only. It is not a substitute for the organisers' instructions, official South African Weather Service warnings, mandatory kit requirements, or your own judgement on the day.

You take part in any event at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, including the Consumer Protection Act, we are not liable for any loss, injury or damage arising from decisions made in reliance on the forecasts, or from the service being unavailable, including on race day. If we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant pass.

7. Acceptable use

8. Privacy

How we collect, use and protect your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

9. Intellectual property and data attribution

The GetWeather site, planner and design belong to Consortium Ventures (Pty) Ltd. Forecast data is provided by the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (MET Norway / YR) under the Creative Commons BY 4.0 licence.

10. Changes and availability

We may update the service and these terms from time to time. The current version will always be at this address, with the date at the top. Changes don't affect a pass you have already bought. We aim to keep the service available around the clock, but we can't guarantee it will be uninterrupted.

11. Complaints and governing law

If something goes wrong, email support@getweather.co.za. We aim to reply within 2 business days. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and nothing in them limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.
